Our students blew us away at our annual Speech Contest. We are so proud of all of our student speakers. They were poised and articulate as they delivered their speeches to their fellow Huskies! Congratulations! Audrey, Andrew, and Kayla will go on to represent our school at the district competition! Way to Go!
DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
Our school district will hold a Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, February 13th at 6:00 pm. Our own VAPA Music Teacher, Brad Collins, will be honored at the meeting. Congratulations Mr. Collins! Also, the Board will conduct a Public Hearing on revisions to the Local Control Accountability Plan. They want to hear your input, please consider attending. ELAC AND SSC MEETING
We will hold a joint ELAC and SSC meeting this month. The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 14th at 8:15 am in our MPR. We will discuss the Local Control Accountability Plan and how you can share your input. All parents are strongly encouraged to join us. We hope to see you there.
TK AND KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Please let your friends and neighbors know that transitional kindergarten and kindergarten registration packets are available now. Registration packets will be accepted on Wednesday, February 20th. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding registration for the 2019 -2020 school year.

SINGLE SIGN ON
All students must use their Microsoft Single Sign On (SSO) in order to access Achieve3000, Smarty Ants, and ThinkCentral (Go Math!) programs form now on. We have updated the links on our blog to direct students to the the Microsoft Single Sign On link for the district. If you receive an error message when attempting to login, you may need to clear your web browser history. Google Chrome is the preferred browser to use for these programs. 2018 – 2019 Yearbooks will be available for purchase on our webstore beginning February 10th to March 15th.
Yearbooks cost $35 and a personalized version is available for $40. They will be delivered at the end of the year. A limited amount of yearbooks will be available for purchase at the end of the year for $50.
They will only be available through the website and there are no refunds.
If you have pictures of any school events like field trips, dances, Husky Howl, etc. for the 2018-2019 school year that you think might be good for the yearbook, please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your child’s or children’s name, grade, and their teacher’s name. You just might see it in the yearbook!
